Herman was a close friend and will always be remembered deep in my heart. Mr. Jahnigen was the most decorated soldier from Ripley County Indiana. He is among the few to receive a battlefield commision. Herman, I feel did not receive the glory he deserved, So in my small way I have created a well deserved tribute.
