P-51 Pilot - GREAT VIDEO

By: Chris Woods
This brought back fond memories of my Dad talking about when he was in charge keeping the Republic Aviation P 47 Thunderbolts flying during WW II. Dad lost one of his legs during his childhood and the none of the US Service branches wouldn't take him because he had an artifical leg. So he went into Public Service Sector and went to work for Republic Aviation, in Evansville, Indiana where he was in charge of the Parts Dept, where the P47 Thunderbolt was manufactured. Republic Aviation after the war became Whirlpool.

This is about a 20 minute video but very worth your time!

This is very enjoyable. There are not many of these guys left. P-51 pilot and his Mustang
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen in my whole life. It is about life, love, and the legacy left behind by a true American hero. Get the tissue out. Remarkable story, and it is a true story, of an American pilot, who has not bragged about his exploits, but rather kept his story quiet, until now, after almost 52 years.
