WORLD’S BIGGEST RADIO DISH UP AND RUNNING

The FAST radio astronomy dish (Tianyan), in People’s Republic of China (PRC), is now the largest antenna in the world, beating the United States’ Arecibo dish. Over 500 meters in diameter, it is designed for medium and short wavelength studies of the cosmos, addressing issues of universe-origins, pulsars and collapsed stars, galaxy formation, and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI), among others.

Back Home Now

I was in the hospital 4 days at Madison, In. then transferred to Louisville Norton Hospital for six days. I have a herniated disc in my lower back. It has effected my left leg. But at least I am up and walking with a cane. I was treated very well at both hospitals but it is sure good to be home again. Thursday was the first day I was able to set enjoying the sweet sounds of my Ham Radio.I talked to several stations on 40 meters. I will try to get back to posting a few things on my Blog now. Thank you for all of the get well cards and emails from friends and even a few of  my followers of this Blog. ..... Jack

I'm now on crutches

It is going on 6 weeks that I have been hurting with one or two parts of my body. My shoulder is about 80% back to normal, but my hip and lower leg is now the problem. I have almost unbearable pain while walking. I am using crutches to get around. I have had several tests and X-rays without finding the cause. More test results to come in today, Maybe they will be the ones that pin point the cause. I still can not set for any length of time in a straight back chair, this means I can't use my radios for more than a few minutes at a time. and that is a bummer, thank God  for my net book computer. ........ Money Orders cannot be canceled

Did you know:
Buyers: never send money to a P.O. Box address, never use Western Union or any other kiosk type payment system. Money Orders and Certified checks cannot be withdrawn and once sent, cannot be canceled. Use extreme caution and be certain who you're dealing with. If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is. PayPal is always on the side of the buyer, I know - I was the seller to a guy with buyers remoras - I had to refund the money just because he changed his mind. It cost me 3% of the selling price to refund.
