February 29 is a date that occurs only every four years, in years evenly divisible by 4, such as 1988, 1996, 2008 or 2016 (with the exception of century years not divisible by 400, such as 1900) for the Gregorian calendar, which is most widely used in the world today. These are called leap years, and February 29 is the 60th day of the Gregorian calendar in such a year, with 306 days remaining until the end of that year. February 29 is also known as bissextile day or Leap Day.

Its To Big
Q.
I have tried several times to send an MP3 sound file to a friend. Each time it bounces back, Why won't it go threw to him ? Thanks, K.S.
A.
The person that you are sending the MP3 file to is using Net Zero for his Internet Service Provider (ISP). This ISP and many others do not allow files (attachments) larger than one Megabyte to be sent to a mail account. The file you are trying to send is seven Megabytes, If the receiver is using a dial-up ISP such as Net Zero it would take hours for the download. Always consider this when sending large photos or audio files. There is a service at:
http://www.senduit.com/
that will allow up to 100 Meg transfer. You upload the file along with the person's email address. The receiving party can downlod the file to his/her computer. Remember if the receiving party is on a dial-up connection it will still take a lot of their time to receive it. Also some ISP's do not allow MP3s to be received at all. I suggest burning it to CD and mailing it to them.
Hope this helps and thank you for your question ....... Jack

What Time Is It ?
Most will not need this information, but if you are a world traveler or have friends or relatives living in another country you may need this time conversion page. As some of you know I am an amateur radio operator (ham) and I need to know the time in different parts of the world. Some places in this world can only be contacted at certain times on certain frequencies. Recently I needed to know when it was just getting daylight on a small Pacfic Island called Ducie. This speck of land is near the Island of Pitcairn. This Island was made known to many by Fletcher Christian and the book or movie Mutiny on the bounty.

With a quick search from Google I had the URL of the World Time Engine. If you need to know the time in a far away location World Time Engine will fill your needs. Try it at:

Feb. 23rd, 2008 9:00 AM Ice & Snow
I was just outside to start the car to remove the ice from the windshield. My poor old Cad has to set outside because my wife's car has seniority. I pulled, pried, and kicked but the driver side door was frozen solid. I went to the passenger side and after a few pulls it came open. I crawled across to the driver side and started her up and returned to the warm house. I let it run about 20 minutes with the heater running full blast. I went back out but the door still was stuck tight. I shut the engine off and came back inside. I don't need the car till noon, about two hours away. I shoveled some loose gravel over the ice on the drive hoping it would give Betty enough traction to get to the main road. You see she has this life or death baby shower to get to and must pick up the cake at 11:30 in Madison. She made it !
I have a little bit of a cold but not bad enough to cancel out my cheeseburger and frys at the Legion at noon. I just hope I can make it out of the driveway myself. May be my door will be thawed out by then.
There is about 4 inches of snow with an inch of ice on top of that. You can walk on top without breaking threw. Yes, with all of this bad weather to cope with I still would not want to live anywhere else, wait , may be Cayman Island, BWI. Oh I can't afford there, forget I said that.

Old photos of Versailles, Indiana
I just received four classic old photos of Versailles. These photos came from Larry Bultman and scanned by Ken Akers. I think the one that is of the Methodist church, later known as the Rec hall, is almost one of a kind. Ma' Curry's restaurant building can also be seen to the West of the church. Thanks goes out to Larry and Ken for letting us all see a piece of history.

Tyson Auditorium by Ken Sheets
Ken Sheets has written an article about Tyson Auditorium (Versailles) with the help of Mr. Moorhead. He is sending it to The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame to have published in its quarterly magazine. It is a great piece of work with lots of facts that we all needed to be reminded of. Ask Ken for a copy, or read it on the Web at:

Too much stuff
Over the years I have up-loaded tons of files that contain music, pictures, programs, and back-up data. Some (OK a lot) have been forgotten or just plane lost in siberspace. I ran across 33 photos I had stored on a free site that allowed 100 photos. It is a good place to put your vacation pictures for safe keeping. Give it a try at:
http://www.dphoto.com/
Here are the photos I stored. They were taken at or near Versailles:
